Hi, I’m Mitch and I want to teach you how to be a successful entrepreneur
During the last 15 years I’ve spent a lot of time building businesses and creating products that people love. Over my career (so far), I’ve:
- Founded or co-founded 3 companies – 1 sold, 1 pivoted, 1 hugely successful
- Raised $75M in venture capital from tier 1 investors
- Employed about 400 people (interviewed thousands)
- Taught over 250,000 people how to become better entrepreneurs
- Sold to over 100,000 customers in 130 countries
- Made every business mistake you could make
- Learned a lot by trial & error along the way

The true definition of success that most people don’t understand
My personal philosophy is that unless you’re successful both personally and professionally, then you’re not really experiencing success.
What do I mean by that?
Well, how many successful entrepreneurs have you seen who’ve built hugely successful businesses but are divorced, stressed, overweight or depressed? I’ve seen too many, and very early on I decided I didn’t want to end up like that, so I chose to learn how to build hugely successful businesses while at the same time improving my physical health, mindset, productivity, relationships and personal life.
This learning took well over 10 years and included hundreds (if not thousands) of mistakes and course corrections along the way. Those mistakes included everything from hiring the wrong managers to making spur-of-the-moment investment decisions to letting my health get out of control to working 20 hour days like a mad man for too long. If you can think of the wrong way to do anything, then I’ve probably done it.
What I came to realize is that you can read all of the books in the world and have the best mentors, but in some cases you’ll still fail or make mistakes. My goal is to help you shortcut the trial-and-error process, so you can avoid some of the mistakes I made and instead experience your desired outcomes faster and with fewer mistakes along the way.

I created Harper Class to help you become a more successful entrepreneur
There are so many ways to learn these days, but I’ve always found it’s best to learn from someone who has done exactly what you want to do themselves. That way, you’re learning from experience not opinion. Everyone can tell you how they think successful people operate, but very few people can show you.
This principle is called modeling and comes from Tony Robbins. It’s something I’ve used my whole career to accelerate my learning and success. The modeling concept essentially says that the best way to learn anything is to find someone who has done that exact same thing and get them to teach you how.
Doing this reduces trial and error and allows you to learn 10 years of experience in a matter of hours or days. It’s a powerful concept, and it’s the guiding principle for the videos I create on this site.

Build your business, master your life
When I created the tag line for Harper Class, I wanted it to encapsulate how I think about success and that’s how I came up with Build Your Business, Master Your Life. Through my videos I hope to show you how you can build a wildly successful business while at the same time mastering the other areas of your life that are equally important.
So what do I talk about in my videos? One video might show you how to use guerilla marketing to drive new customers to your business. The next video might discuss economic cycles and how to take control of your finances. The video after that might explain why a green drink every morning could save your life one day.
I keep the focus on success at all times, but tend to bounce between the different areas of life that require focus, such as business, physical health, mental health, learning, investing, productivity, contribution, relationships and time management.
Each week I answer questions from people who follow me on Twitter. If you’d like to ask a question, just tweet @TheHarperClass with the #AskMitch hash tag and I could choose your question for an upcoming video.
